Located in Western North Carolina, Tri-County Motor
Speedway is a 4/10 mile banked asphalt track racing weekly on Friday night
as it has for most of it's existence. A NASCAR Home Track facility,
TCMS features Late Models as it's premier division and has been a proving
ground for many of today's rising talents.

Wilson
makes it three different winners in as many races at TCMS
Hudson,
North Carolina (May 3, 2009) - After taking a week
off for the NASCAR Camping World Series East race, all regular
divisions returned to action at Tri County Motor Speedway last
night in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action.
In
the Late Model Stock race David Wilson became the third
different winner in as many races this season as he held off
Jesse Lefevers for the win. Lefevers, who won the last Late
Model Stock race at the track two weeks ago, finished second
with Brennon Poole coming home third. Dexter Canipe was fourth
and the only other driver to win at TCMS this season, R.A.
Brown, completing the top five.
In
the Limited Late Model feature Christian Pahud won his second
consecutive race with Chris Chapman second. Dexter Canipe, Jr.
finished third with Nick Waycaster and Mike Eplee completing
the top five.
In
the Baton Tire Street Stock division David Smith also won for
the second consecutive week holding off a hard-charging Josh
Burchette with Jeremy Pelfrey third. Jonathan Smith and Mike
Hatton rounded out the top five.
Dillon
Crouch won the Renegade feature event with Barney Arnnett
finishing a close second. Carroll McKinney came home third
with Roy Smith and Dustin Walker completing the top five.
The
Carolina Vintage cars returned to TCMS and put a special show
of classic cars for the fans. Doug Howell won the special
event with Wayne Hearne second and Howard Scruggs capturing
the final podium finish.
TCMS
returns to action next Friday night with a special Mother’s
Day schedule of events. The weekly Late Models will highlight
the schedule with Twin 35-lap races followed by the Limited
Late Models, Baton Tire Street Stocks, Renegades and a special
“Powder Puff” Road Rage event. For more information please
